Three-time Le Mans 24 Hours race champion Allan McNish has told us that technology first trialled at the world famous endurance event often makes it on to road cars – and this year’s big thing will be laser lights. Mercedes has revealed the ‘Performance Package Plus’ for the C63. The stock 6.2 litre V8 has had a bit of SLS magic sprinkled on it and gets forged pistons, a lightweight crankshaft and new connecting rods. The ECU also gets a tweak or three.
